I know it's a little early... but I believe there was a hint of Autumn in the air this morning here in New England.

It's my favorite time of year so I can't wait for it to be here!

I will especially enjoy it this year since we almost moved to Florida in June (long story but so happy we're staying!)

Hi Everyone!

Well, after many months of being without my computer, I finally got it fixed. I REFUSED to buy a new one, because Windows 8 is HORRIBLE (we have it at work and I still can't figure it out!)... and it was just a matter of actually finding the time to get mine fixed.

So I am glad to be back blogging... but I also wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the nice comments they have left throughout my blog. I really do appreciate them!

I sometimes don't take the time to leave comments but I am going to work on that, because I really enjoy looking at other blogs... and creations and family pics and all the great stuff we share here on Blogger.

I will be having an Autumn Give-Away soon! I will make it a good one since I have been away so long!

I hope you will check back for that and I am also working on some new graphics as well!

What Color Binding?

Hi Everyone!

Well, Autumn is in full swing here in New England and it truly is just the most beautiful time of year! 

I worked on this Autumn quilted wall-hanging this week.

This is the first time that I have quilted applique... I wasn't sure I liked it at first but have decided that I do!

I blanket stitched the applique first and then used the free motion quilt 'stipple' pattern (Love that because there is no wrong way to do it!)

If you look closely at the back of the wall-hanging, you will notice my brown thread coming through... that is the MANY, MANY areas where my thread broke while I was quilting it. What a pain is the butt! I finally perfected my tension settings to prevent that.

I just need to bind it and add the sleeve for hanging. 

WHAT COLOR BINDING SHOULD I USE?

ORANGE, GREEN OR YELLOW?

Going Pumpkin Crazy!

Hi Everyone,

Well, I have been working on some more items to put in the consignment shop... I am just having so much fun making things for this time of year!

I am going pumpkin crazy! LOL 

I still need to stain these and the one with 3 pumpkins will go in a frame and the others will be pillows.

I also bought a new quilt pattern book and have started on my lap quilt... can't wait to see how it comes out!

I'm Going To Be In A Shop! Well, My Items, Not Me. LOL

You might remember back in April, I mentioned that I was doing my very first craft show at a local church (I never did post the pics of that, now that I think about it) but... the woman who ran the craft fair contacted me a few weeks ago because she is opening a shop in Londonderry, NH and wants to display my items!

I am SUPER excited about this new adventure and hope it is a successful one! The Grand Opening is in 2 weeks and I have been sewing every free moment possible!

New Autumn Quilted Table Runner...

Good Morning,

I made this quilted table runner this week. I just love the colors! I am undecided as to keep it or sell it... LOL.

This is the first time I used double borders on a table runner. I made one a little wider than the other and I like the way that looks (wasn't sure when I was doing it, though.)

This was probably the FIRST time that I didn't struggle with the binding... turns out, I had a wrong setting on my machine. The whole time, I was holding my breath as I was going around with the binding... just waiting for the screw up to happen but it didn't! I was thrilled. 

I am working on a lap quilt now... can't wait to get that done.

I will be having that Fall Give-Away I mentioned in my last post... so keep your eyes out for that. I am hoping to have it up this week.
