My Itty Bitty Christmas Tree...

The livingroom in my new house is actually smaller than the livingroom I had in my apartment, so I can't fit my 7 1/2 foot Christmas tree in it!

I mean I probably could, if I change everything around but I don't really want to do that.

So I bought this little 2 foot tree at the Flea Market for $2. I also got the crock that it's sitting in for $4.

I miss my big tree but there's something cozy about the little one, too!

Craft Show Help...?

Hey Girls,

First let me say that I am still having trouble with Photobucket and being able to upload my templates in their original size... I am losing my patience with it, honestly, but there is nothing I can do as of the moment. The woman that is helping me asked me to send her the file I was trying to upload... she successfully added it to my album but unfortunately, that does not help me... I have a few more I would like to add.

Onward: I have a couple of questions for all you ladies that do craft shows, if you would be so kind as to add your input. I stitched about 40 pillows for the Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays this year... but I never completed them... so I am thinking about just going and going and maybe doing a craft show next year.

Now, I have never done a craft show before but I am thinking of just completing my pillows (and framed stitcheries) and making some dolls, bowl fillers, possibly some quilted table runners/wall hangings, room sprays and maybe even some dough ornies. I do work about 50 hours a week outside the home but I am thinking that if I work on this stuff throughout the year, I should have a pretty good inventory.

 I would have to stay in my area and would absolutely LOVE to do the Sturbridge, MA fair (I'm going this weekend and I can't wait!)

So my questions are:

Are craft shows worth your time and effort?

Has anyone ever regretted doing it?

Can anyone tell me how to get started on being accepted to a craft show?

Also, do you accept credit cards and if so, how would I go about setting that up?

Anyone help that you can give would be VERY MUCH appreciated!

I will be posting new templates and directions soon... I am just waiting for some help from Photobucket... it seems I can't upload my templates in their original size (even though I have a Pro Account with them)

Follow Up To 'Stupid Ads'...

Just want to thank everyone for their input regarding my last post about the 'Stupid Ads'

It's so weird because I still see them but they just started showing up yesterday... I currently use Google Chrome for my default browser but I think I will install Firefox and see if that helps... I don't think it's my browser, though, because I am only seeing these ads on Blogger.

Well, anywho... I FINALLY got the code down for applying my templates... the directions are slightly different because the codes are now much longer than the ones that are compatible with the 'Minima' template (which Blogger no longer offers)

It's going to be a LOT of work to re-write the codes for my existing templates but luckily, there aren't that many.

I am working on 2 new templates right now for the season and will be posting the new directions when I post the templates.

Stupid Ads?

What's with these stupid ads at the top of Blogger? You can't even close them out! It's our computer screens... I think we should have the choice as to what we want to see and not see on our screens.

I click AD OPTIONS and then click 'X' to close and... nothing... the ad just comes right back!

SO ANNOYING!

It's in the way of my graphic... looks like I will have to re-arrange that, too!

Blogger used to be so awesome.

Bummer & New Christmas Graphic

Hello Everyone,

Finally got my computer back! Good news is... it's running like new and the cost was minimal. 

The bad news is... it had to be wiped out so I lost a LOT of files... Bummer.

Anyway, I have some more Flea Market finds to share... I will be posting those pics soon.

I still have yet to perfect the new directions for applying my templates... I haven't had my computer to do so but now that it's fixed... it shouldn't be long (Sorry!)

In the meantime, here is a little Christmas goody for you... I can't believe it's November already!

It is very hard at first but once you lose those first few pounds... it motivates you like crazy and before you know it... you will have reached your goal!

What I Was Doing While I was MIA From Blogger

Ok Girls,

Usually when someone posts a BEFORE & AFTER picture on a prim blog... it's a prim item... but today... I am posting a BEFORE & AFTER picture of me.

(I do actually have some pics of new prims that I will share soon, LOL)

Last Spring, I decided to create some 'ME' time... my boys are 16 now... pretty much doing their own thing and my husband and I work opposite shifts so I decided that it was a good time to do this.

Now, I work full-time (outside the home) and also I waitress part-time, too.... and as we women know... taking care of family and home doesn't leave a lot of time for much else but...

My sister had to have hip-replacement surgery (she is only 47) and is soon going in for the other one... watching her go through that made me realize that I want to be HEALTHY and energetic (although, what she went through really had nothing to do with health) but you understand what I mean.

So I decided to start exercising and eating healthy... now I had tried that before but always tanked... but this time... (watching my sister not being able to even walk for months) - it just did something to me and I stuck with it.

So, here is me in the Summer of 2011: (GULP)

And here is me in Summer of 2012: (YAY!)

I lost 23 pounds and I have to say, I feel AMAZING...

Life has been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! I am patiently awaiting Spring... we got some snow here in New England the past couple of days but it's 46 degrees out right now and the melting has begun...(very messy out, though)
